Gambian international Ousman Jallow has admitted it meant a world to him after making his Brondby debut in their Thursday’s UEFA Cup campaign.

Jallow and his Danish side made a shaky start to the second-most prestigious European club competition as they suffered a 2-1 home defeat against Norway’s Rosenborg in the first-leg tie.
The former Wallidan and Alain striker was happy to have started a new life at Brondby but was quick to add that a debut win would have made a best start.

“It is very nice to be in Brøndby. I love the club and the fans. I am sorry that we lost. But I believe we can win in Norway, if we can continue as we did in the second half,” revealed Jallow who came on as a substitute one minute into start of the second half.
Jallow and Brondby will  travel to Norway in a fortnight time needing to overturn the 2-1 deficit for a place in the group stages.

Meanwhile, Tijan Jaiteh and his Gambian brother Njogu Demba, started their UEFA campaign on a bright note after a 2-0 win over Deportivo La Corona on the same day. Tijan Jaiteh came in as a substitute, while groin injury forced forward Demba to watch the home tie from the sideline.
