Reports from CRR indicate that 2 dozen solar panels have gone missing in the villages of Manna and Nyanga in Sami and Niani districts respectively, all in CRR North.

Incidence of missing solar panels in CRR has become a common occurrence. Solar panels were previously stolen from the following villages within a short period:  Barajally, Jamali Musa Manna, kuntin, Janjangbureh Health Centre and now Sare Nyanga and Kunting all in the CRR.

 Governor of the CRR, Alhagie Ganyie Touray, expressed disappointment towards the attitude of stealing solar panels in the region. He described the act as a cause for concern “because it causes untold problems for the affected villages.

”Whoever is responsible must be aware of the untold suffering their action caused to the people of the region, especially the affected viallages. Presently, people and cattle are here without access to clean drinking water all because of the action of the perpetrators,”he said.
