Ms Badjie said that they had conducted star quest with Fracais Duru in training and identifying talented Gambian actors and actress, adding that a team of some Nigerian film directors and producers from Nollywood came to The Gambia to see how preparations were in progress.

According to her, the press conference was meant to update the stars to enable them prepare well.

Ms Badjie noted that the message they would send to the world would be very clear and educative, adding that they would promote the rich cultural heritage of their motherland.

The story, she added, was written by a 16-year-old boy, noting that this is an experiment to see how young talented Gambians can act.

For his part, John Oboira, the Managing Director of Trade Plus said they are trying to establish cultural relationship between Nigerian and Gambian actors in the area of cementing cultural segment.
