Alleged Tanji Theft Case Reaches Court

One Amadou Bah was on 26th January 2009 arraigned before Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court charged with Stealing. He denied the charge.

According to the particulars of the alleged offence, on 15th January 2009, at Tanji Village, the accused Amadou Bah is alleged to have stolen One Mobile Phone valued at D1600 and cash of D6500 being the property of one Lamin Darboe.

Meanwhile the accused was granted court bail in the sum of D3000, before the case was adjourned until 28th January 2009.

In a separate development, one Kembou Kanteh of Brikama was recently arraigned at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court for alleged common assault. He denied the charge.

According to the alleged offence, on 23rd December 2008 at the Banjul International Airport, the accused Kembou Kanteh scolded one Nfamara Sanneh and tore the latter’s uniform while in the execution of his duty.

Meanwhile he was granted court bail in the sum of D3000.
