Wednesday, April 29, 2009

The country’s football governing body has confirmed the postponement of Week Fifteen clash between Armed Forces and Steve Biko slated to be played today at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

The postponement, according to Abdou Salaam Jammeh of the GFA, is as a result of the country wide victory tour of the U-17 squad which had seven players in it playing for the Bakau giants.

The country wide tour which started yesterday is expected to wrap up on Thursday May 1st 2009.

Biko have been inconsistent in the league and have slipped to 8th place with 18 points while current league leaders Armed Forces who laid two draws in a row in their last matches are at 28 point.
