Basori LBS boosted

Basori Lower Basic School (LBS) recently benefited from the gesture of a UK philanthropist, at a presentation ceremony held at Basori Lower Basic School.

The school received stationery as well as a cash amount of D10,000  earmarked for the fencing of the school. The gesture from John Prentice, is to complement government’s efforts. Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Saraba Sanneh, the headmaster of the school, thanked the donor for the benevolent gesture, adding that  Prentice has been helping the school for the past ten years.  He assured that the money will be put into good use. He also cited the importance of the stationery for the students.

John Prentice, the donor, expressed his delight with the school.  He also thanked the friends who were instrumental in raising funds for the school. He described children as the future leaders and who need to be motivated, expressing hope that the money will be put into good use.

Lamin Jabang, the Alkalo of the village, also thanked the donor for the laudable gesture, noting that it will go a long way in helping the students. He also expressed hope that the relation will continue.
