Week three of the ongoing Brufut Nawetaan league championship is yet to show outstanding qualifiers to the next stage of the championship. On Saturday 17th October 2009, West Coast FC sent Group D open after outclassing Ghana Town FC and netting two goal one in each half. On the same day, Sait Matty looked certain of the next stage of the championship after putting up an impressive 2-1 victory over new comers Jabbis FC. The victory saw Sait Matty FC on poll position in Group A with 7 points, while closest rivals New Town Iwata Chizaki FC are on 4 points. Meanwhile, Jungle FC scored two late goals to move joint top spot with West Coast FC. Comium FC continues their recent unimpressive run during one all draw with Group C leaders, Sheraton FC. The Hotel boys now tops Group B with 7points. While fellow contenders KAI FC of Tintinto sent Group D opened by beating City Limit by a lone goal, New Town FC dashed Jabbis FC hopes of making it to the next stage of the championship with a 2-1 victory. Arsenal FC drew one all with Comium in Sunday’s clash. Meanwhile, the sports committee is calling on all team to desist from inciting any form of indiscipline which may lead to trouble or else they will face unavoidable consequences and disciplinary measures.
