CRR Residents Cultivate President’s Rice Farm

The people of Central River Region recently gathered and cultivated President Jammeh’s rice farm in Janjanbureh. The rice farm is approximately five hectares. The exercise was attended by lot of people from the surrounding villages including the youth, men and women.

Speaking at the farm, the governor of CRR, Mr Ganyie Touray, expressed delight at the number of participants, describing them as patriots to the country and its government. Mr Touray commended the people in no small amount for cultivating a five hectare rice farm for president Jammeh, noting that President Jammeh is leading the nation to food self-sufficiency.

Also speaking at the exercise, the Chief of Janjanbureh, Bakary Jim Jawo, thanked all the participants for their beautiful work. He described the exercise as a sign of tolerance, patriotism and love. He therefore urged all the people in CRR to unite and rally behind the Government.

Others speakers included the councillors and village elders.
