Documentary on Gambia soon

Margit Lennstrom Ogebratt, a Swedish actor and music producer, is currently in the Gambia busy jotting down pieces about herself and her beloved husband’s life, culture and tradition in the Gambia.

Margit  plays music, dances,  paints, draws, promotes cultures and acts films. Speaking to the Daily Observer at the Lamtoro Clinic in Kololi, Margit said the documentary focuses basically on her life in The Gambia and her interaction with her Gambian family.  She said she has been visiting the Gambia for the past 40 years and during this period, she had facilitated the travelling of a group of young people to perform art in Sweden.

According to her, some five years ago, she had conducted art exhibitions in The Gambia and other countries in Africa, and had also visited the national museum of the country. She also alleged that she was the first woman to win film making award in Sweden. During that ceremony, she said, she received 16 prizes for the first film she acted in Fitera, Sweden.
