Dr Olugander Returns From European Tour, Poised To Release New Album

Gambia’s reining reggae king, Dr Olugander recently returned home from Europe after a successful musical tour. The reggae star came back with a 13 track CD which is entitled stronger than before.

With its lyrical power and high production quality, it is expected to be released on the 24thof December, 2008 at the Tallinding Buffer Zone. The new album features the promise land band.

Speaking in an interview with Entertainment recently, Dr Olugander said that his recent tour to the European countries was a total success, noting that he was able to meet with the movers and shakers of the European music industry. The returned reggae artist revealed that the release of the new album is sponsored by Africell, the leading private GSM provider. Dr Olugander, who inherited music from his grandfather, has released three albums. He went on to say that there is no place like home, “that’s why I came back.”

In his final note, the just returned artist called on Gambian musicians to work hard and to be united as one family in developing music in the country. According to him,the new album will be on sale at the market on the very day of its release. The Gambian reggae star will treat party people on new year’s day at Wellingara Cinema. The same concert will be repeated on the 2ndof January at Brikama Jokor.
