Driver Fined for ObstructionMonday, March 23, 2009 One Ebrima Mboob, a driver was recently fine D500 in default to serve six months imprisonment by the Brikama Magistrates’ Court for obstructing public high way. Adducing fact of the case, Sgt 553 Jammeh told the court that the incident happened of He said the convict was driving a motor vehicle with the registration number BJL 1958E on the said high way. He narrated that the Inspector General of Police was driving along that high way when he found a queue of which upon enquiring found that the accused was the one responsible for the long queue. According to Sgt Jammeh the Inspector General of Police escorted the accused to the Wellingara Police Station where he was cautioned and charged with the offence committed.
