Karamba Gassama, an alleged escapee from lawful custody, pleaded not guilty on Wednesday when he appeared before Honourable Master of the High Court Aminata Saho Ceesay who was overseeing the Bundung Magistrates Court on behalf of Acting Principal Magistrate Kumba Sillah Camara.

According to the particulars, Karamba Gassama, on 19 September 2008 at Bakoteh Police Station unlawfully escaped from police custody. The case was adjourned to 29 December for the prosecution to call its witnesses.

In another development, one Gibbi Gisseh was arraigned before the Honourable Master of the High Court Aminata Saho Ceesay for the defilement of a girl under the age of 18.

According to the charge levelled against him, Gibbi Gisseh sometime in the month of June 2008 at the Bundung in Kanifing Municipality Council unlawfully had carnal knowledge of a girl under the age of 18.

The accused pleaded not guilty to this allegation. The case was adjourned to 29 December 2008. Inspector Mballow represented the IGP.
