Testifying before the court, Mr. Benedict Jammeh, told the court that sometime in the month of February 2009, Tijan Badjie, the Prosecuting Officer came to his office and briefed him “why he was always subpoena him without a witness sermon”.

He adduced that the Prosecutor, Superintendent Tijan Badjie told him that, this was not because of Burama Dibba or Musa Suso, but a fight against him.

Mr. Jammeh revealed that, the Prosecutor told him that he should be careful with Musa Suso’s case for, as he stated, the Head of State was very angry with him.

As he narrated, he (Ben) was responsible for the acquittal and discharged of Burama Dibba, the former Crime Management Coordinator (CMC).

At this juncture, the Prosecuting Officer raised an objection on the ground that all what the witness has said was a ‘cook-up story’.

When asked by Lawyer Jobarteh how many cassettes he had with the prosecution, Mr. Jammeh replied, it was three cassettes in total.

Also testifying, the fourth prosecution witness, Commission Thomas Jarju told the court that he is a Prison Officer attached to Mile II Central Prison, and that he is the Deputy Director of Prison.

Officer Jarju told the court that he knows David Colley, the Director-General of Prison and could also remember one Ndey Conteh Jallow. Thomas Jarjue testified that on 9th May 2005, Ndey Conteh-Jallow, had donated a satellite disc to the Prison Department, which he added, was installed at the Administrating wing, linking the main security wing and the female wing.

According to him, the satellite disc is still installed there.

When asked under cross examination by Lawyer Jobarteh about his qualification, Mr Jarju said, he possessed Secondary Four school leaving certificate. On how many credits he obtained, he said “two passes”.

The case was adjourned to 15th & 16th September 2009.
