Wednesday, November 26, 2008

The four million Dalasis trial case involving the former Gambia Civil Aviation Authority accountant Mr Lamin Njie resumed on Monday before Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court.

On the resumption day, the case could not proceed due to the fact that the case file of the accused Lamin Njie was sent to the Attorney General’s chamber for advice.

However, based on that ground, the case was adjourned to the 15th December 2008 for continuation.

It could be recalled that between the month of January 2005 to December 2007 at the Gambia Civil Aviation Authority, Western Region of the Gambia, the accused being an employee of the Gambia Civil Aviation Authority allegedly stole the sum of Four million, Nine Hundred Thousand Dalasis (4, 900, 000), the property of the Gambia government.
