The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF),on Saturday,November 29, staged a massive musical fund raising show on at the glamorous Paradise Suites Hotel in Kololi.
The somewhat rare musical and artistic showbiz is meant to raise fund for the Gambai Armed Forces (GAF) Football team scheduled to participate in the Wallo Games to be play in Kanpala,Uganda.
The Saturday night long musical and artistic jamboree at the Paradise Suites Hotel, has featured the undisputed and erudite Senegalese Mbalax super star of the present generation, Assan Njie along side other top flight and sprouting Gambian artists such as Yusupha Ngum,Pa Omar Jack otherwise called borom chims and chims, Jali Nyali alias King of manding music, among others.
The night was blessed with extensive merry making and fund accompanied by non stop dancing and singing in the most melodious and beautiful voices. The venue was full to capacity with both musical and artistic lovers with the Senegalese Mbalax super star exhibiting his best in the world of music.
Colonel Ousman Badjie, an Officer of the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF), welcomed the quests on behalf of the Chief of Defence Sfaff (CDS) of the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF),Major General Lang Tombong Tamba, who was present along side other security chiefs such as Director General (DG) of National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Inspector General of Police (IGP), Commander Gambia Navy, among others.
Colonel Badjie,seized the opportunity to thank what he described as the generous and benevolent sponsors of the fund raising programme and friends of the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF). He assured them of the GAF open door policies and readiness to work with the Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) at all times.
