The first-ever Gambia U-15  cricket female side is warming up for their debut appearance when they host the ICC U-15 tournament for North/West Africa in Banjul in December.

Six countries in Morocco, Mali, Sierra Lone, Nigeria, Ghana and the Gambia will contest in the maiden tournament to be first staged and hosted in The Gambia.

The Gambia Cricket Association is aware of the task ahead of them. This is why four Coaches, headed by Prince Johnson, Fabakary Dampha, Mbye Dumbuya and Peter Campbell have been assigned to take charge of the first-ever national U-15 side.

The girls are currently engaged in an intensive training session at the July 22nd square in Banjul.

The venues for the championship, MRC grounds, July 22nd Square and Marina International have already been identified.
