As the national cricket league gathers momentum at the July 22nd Square in Banjul, tomorrow there will be a derby clash between Wallidan and The Gambia Ports Authority cricket teams.

Wallidan, who are currently rooted at the bottom of the cricket league, will play against their city rivals The Gambia Ports Authority, in what will be seen as a battle for survival between two heavyweights in Banjul. In a similar development, the veterans will also play against Asia Eleven Cricket Club on Sunday 15th of February at the same ground. The game is expected to see some fine skills from both sides with the same points on the top of the league. The veterans comprise the like of Tijan Jobe, Kwamla Elliott, Alfred Crookes, and Malamin Fofana as captain, Alas Faraba, Bishop T. Johnson, Fabakary Dampha and Johnny Gomez.
