The idle and disorderly conduct case involving Dodou Joof and Amadou Bah proceded recently at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court, presided over by Magistrate Emmanuel Amadi.
Testifying, Lamin Touray, an Immigration Officer attached to Gunjur Police Station told the court that he recognised the accused persons.
According to him, on 27th September 2009, he was at the Brikama Police Station with his Officer Cammanding, Lamin Colley for a night patrol when they met up with the accused persons, holding empty bottles in their hands and using abusive words to each other.
According to him, upon sighting them they stopped their vehicle and got them arrested to the Brikama Police station.
Also testifying, 1st CC 2902 Muhammed B Keita attached to Brikama PIU told the court that on the day in question, he was on a night patrol with his OC, Superintendent Lamin K. Colley, when they met the accused persons in a bar called Titanic Bar, both holding an empty bottle of bear using abusive language to each other.
He adduced that they arrested them and took them to the Brikama Police station.
The case was adjourned to 10th October 2009.
