Principal Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara of the Bundung Magistrates’ Court recently presided over a case of idle and disorderly conduct brought against one Yunusa Daffeh, a resident of Bakoteh.
According to the alleged offence, the accused Yunusa Daffeh, on the 23rd June 2009, at Bakoteh Police Station conducted himself in a manner that was likely to cause a breach of the peace.
Sub-Inspector Faburama Bojang, a police officer attached to Bakoteh Police Station, gave evidence that on the day in question, he was on duty at the station when he saw the accused forcing his way into the police station. He said he asked the accused why he was trying to forcibly enter the station but the accused did not respond.
Officer Bojang further adduced that he asked the accused to go out of the station, adding that the accused then reacted by insulting him. He said he arrested the accused, cautioned him and charged him with the offence committed.
The case was adjourned to 27th July 2009.
