Musa Danso and Alieu Badara Jallow were on 8th September, 2009 remanded in custody by Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbacke of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court.
His decision followed the application made by the Prosecuting Officer, Cadet Inspector Mballow, not to grant the accused persons bail on the grounds that the second accused, Alieu Badara Jallow, had a pending case and was granted bail but he absconded.
The Prosecutor went on to say that four mobile phones had been found on the accused persons, and that they “were investigating it as the person who owns them”.
According to the charge sheet, on count one, on 26th August, 2009, at
Count two stated that, on the same day and place, the accused persons stole from the vehicle of one Amadou Jallow, a Samsung mobile phone valued at D4000.
While count three stated that on the same day and place, the accused persons were found in possession of a suspected stolen property that is four mobile phones.
They pleaded not guilty on all the counts.
