The duo where alleged to have in their possession an implement purposely for forgery. They denied the charge.
In his testimony, PW1 Muhammed Sisoho told the court that he recognised the accused persons and he could recall the 29th September 2008 at the Wuli Motel. He said on the day in question he was told by the 1st accused that the 2nd accused stole his money, adding that the 2nd accused in response to the allegation of the 1st accused told him that the 1st accused was engaging in money laundering. He said before he was called by the 1st accused he heard a noise in the accused person’s room and when he went to their room he saw items in the 1st accused bag, such as 10 bottles of liquid and white papers.
Mr Sisoho further testified that he later called the police who arrested the accused persons and took them to Kotu Police Station. The item was later tendered in court as an exhibit by the prosecution to form part of their evidence.
