Motorcyclist Found Dead In GunjurThursday, September 24, 2009
Mr. Modou Sonko, a staff of the Medical Research Council (MRC) and a native of Gunjur, was on Tuesday 22nd September, 2009, found dead on the Gunjur-Brikama Highway, just at the outskirts of Gunjur and Sifoe in Kombo South, Western Region between the hours of 5 to 6 pm. Though the actual cause of his death could not be ascertained at the time of going to press, many are of the belief that he fell off from his motorcycle, while others are of the view that he might have been knocked down by a vehicle. When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Sulayman Secka, confirmed the story, and added that investigations are ongoing to establish the actual cause of his death.
