The National Assembly of The Gambia will today Thursday 20thNovember 2008 convene for an extra ordinary meeting of the Assembly in the 2008 Legislative year.

The meeting, according to a press release from the office of the Speaker, is in accordance with the powers conferred on His Excellency the President of the Republic of the Gambia under section 101 of the 1997 constitution.

According to the release, the meeting shall convene to consider the Livestock Marketing Agency Bill 2008 and Repeal of the National Agricultural Development Agency (NADA) Act 2006.
