The date for the long-awaited nawettan league final at Old Jeshwang has finally been fixed by the area’s sports committee.

Mbemba Camara, an official of the Old Jeshwang Sports Committee, told Observer Sports that the rescheduled final, which will pit Aragons FC and NPE United together, will be played on Sunday, February 1, at the Gambia Technical Training Institute (GTTI) playground.

He said Alhaji OB Conateh, the founding father of Wallindn FC , who are also the sole sponsors of the tournament, will grace the weekend final as the chief guest of honour. Camara called on all sports enthusiasts in Old Jeshwang and its surroundings to come out and grace what he described as a must watch final between the two giants of the area.
