Alhajie Saihouna Sanneh, a new nominated National Assembly Member who replaces Ouley Sey, was on Monday sworn-in at a ceremony held at the Assembly chambers in Banjul.
Taking the oath of allegiance, Hon Sanneh promised to be faithful and bear true allegiance to the state and execute his National Assembly duties without fear or favour, affection or ill will.
At 54, a native of Banjulnding, Mr Sanneh is also the APRC youth leader in Western Region, and he had earlier served as the youth representative at the Brikama Area Council.
Token of appreciation
In a separate engagement, the National Assembly also awarded a token of appreciation to the Legal Draft Person at the Attorney General’s Office, Mrs Moawa, in recognition of her invaluable contribution to the National Assembly as she returns to her motherland of Nigeria.
