The largest forum of ICT students in the country known as "The National ICT network" will be officially launched on March 28th, at the KMC conference hall in Kanifing.
The NIC-Net was initiated by Freedom Camp International (FCI), a charity based organisation working with students to promote ICT and media education nationwide. According to the project director, Victor Abuegbonwn, the role of the project is to facilitate information communications and networking in the interest of the students, youths, teachers and the communities at large. He said this includes supporting dialogue, ensuring access to information required for advocacy and appropriate policy-making, facilitating decision making and the creation of national, regional and international alliances.
According to him, during the launching of the project, participants will bring their technical skills and experiences to bear on the problems of youths education and be able to produce recommendations and guidelines for tackling the problems associated with e-learning. He called on all stakeholders to support the initiative.
