Abdou Saidy, a 20-year old native of Kafuta village, is suffering from severe mitral stenosis, according to a medical report from the Royal Victorial Teaching Hospital.

The said patient, according to the RVTH medical report, needs valve replacement and this operation is not available in The Gambia. He, therefore, needs overseas treatment. According to Yusupha Saidy, a brother to the patient, his younger brother needs urgent assistance from others as theirs is a poor family.
