Police, come to our aid

Editor,

Kindly allow me space in your widely read newspaper to express my concern about the increased rate of armed robbery in my area -  Bantaba Street in Tallinding.

Daily attacks have  now become  rampant in this area.  These so called “armed men” always raid the  place between 3:30am-5:30 am in groups and   each time they come, the lanlords and tenants of the compound they  attack suffer great losses in terms of property and even psychological damage as the fear haunts these people for so long.  They do not spare any property  and  have no sympathy for their fellow humanbeings.

I am therefore appealing to the police to  come to the aid of the community.  Gambia is a peaceful nation as we all know and we are proud of our small country as probably the most peaceful country in Africa; so shall it remain to be.

In order for that to remain, the security agents have to continue to be more vigilant and protective of the citizen as usual.  I would like to commend them  for their hardwork and sincerity to the nation; all the same stress the fact that we are still leaving in fear at Bantaba Street adjacent to 4 junctions area, Tallinding as these armed robbers   continue to frequent the place more and more
