Private Driver convictedWednesday, October 07, 2009
One Bakary Fadara, a private driver was yesterday convicted and sentenced to a court fine of D1000, in default to serve three months in prison by Magistrate Lamin George of the Bundung Magistrates’ Court after being found guilty for the offence of careless driving, contrary to the Laws of The Gambia. According to the charge sheet, the convict on 25th September 2008, along Kombo Coastal Road, drove a motor vehicle with registration number 20 NGO 9, without due care and attention, and thereby caused an accident.
