In that piece we said that this is the first time the Mandarin scholarship is been offered to Gambians. In fact this is not the case as just last year a similar scholarship was offered to one Gambian.

Also regarding the ICDF scholarship for the purpose of clarification, it has been brought to our notice that those applicants working for the government can apply through PMO while the public can apply through University of The Gambia.

Taiwan ICDF, we learn, is working with over 20 universities and colleges across Taiwan to absorb its sponsored candidates.

The closing date for submission defers from one university to another but it’s clear that the shortest date for application among the universities is March, 2009.
