Respect for our leader!

Editor,

Please, allow me space to write and express my utmost disapproval of the trend I see in internet journalism.

I think it is high time that all those who find it impossible to accept facts came to terms with the reality. President Yahya Jammeh is our leader; and this fact should be reflected in the way we talk about him and the way we deal with issues that have something to do with him, even if we have different political ideologies.

No matter what one thinks of him, he should not be insulted as he is our leader, and we have to respect him.

If you look around the world, there are many leaders who cannot possibly measure up to President Jammeh as he is well over 1000 times better than them; yet such leaders never get insulted by their people. So, I ask, why are these so-called online newspapers allowed to go the extra mile of doing such a thing to our leader?

Do they not have respect for their parents? If they do they should give the same respect to Yahya Jammeh, as the leader of our beloved nation. I do not have interest in politics, but I do not like people disrespecting their leaders, no matter the difference in political ideologies.
