Sangajor Basic Cycle Embarks Of Tree-Planting ExerciseWednesday, October 21, 2009 As many as 456 students at Speaking at the exercise, the Principal of the school, Mr. Koyo Kandeh underscored the importance of the exercise, noting that it would help preserve the environment and increase fruit production in the school and the community, in particular. He disclosed that the school has a total of two hectares of millet farm to subsidise the students. The farms, he added, would be used to subsidise the feeding programme of students if harvested. For his part, Mr. Momodou Bojang, the Chairman of the Parent Teachers Association commended the students, parents, Deputising for the Director of Saint Joseph Family Farms Centre, Mr. Pierre Gomez, the Head of Extension staff advised the students and the school management committee to take great care of the plants.
