Senegalese Carcass Thief Awaits Verdict

Sheikh Krubally, a Senegalese national will know his fate when his case comes up on the 18th of December 2008 for judgement following his plea of guilty to the offence charged.

He was arraigned before Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbackeh of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court for stealing a carcass of sheep.

Prosecutor 870 Touray narrating the facts of the matter, told the court that after the police had a tip-off, they found the accused on the 3rd December 2008 in possession of a carcass of a sheep believed to have been stolen at Serrekunda. He further stated that the accused was arrested and taken to Serekunda Police Station where he was cautioned and charged.

Magistrate Mbackeh subsequently remanded the accused in custody.
