Senegalese National Accused of Stealing

One Amadou Bah, a Senegalese national, was on the 19thJanuary 2009 arraigned before Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh at Brikama Magistrates’ Court for stealing contrary to section 252 of the criminal code cap 10 vol. III laws of The Gambia.

According to the particulars of the offence, on or about the 15thday of November 2008 at Janjah Village Kombo South District Western Region the Republic of The Gambia, the accused stole a mobile phone marked Motorola valued at D1,600and D6,560 cash being the property of Lamin Darboe.

When the charge sheet was read to him, he pleaded not guilty.

Meanwhile the court granted him bail in the sum of D3000 and the case was adjourned to the 28thJanuary 2009 for hearing.
