Speaking in an interview with Entertainment on Thursday afternoon at the Seaview Hotel, the head of the delegation, Sizzla said that, his purpose in coming to The Gambia is to do three shows to entertain Gambian people. He also said he wants to find himself a home in the African community Motherland. Sizzla touched down The Gambia last week and has in the interim paid courtesy calls to the Gambian Authorities. Sizzla is also expected to meet, associate and compare notes with Gambian musicians as a way of finding ways for a collaborative and fruitful working relationship.
According to him, his arrival at the airport was wonderful. “After finishing Gambia, I will move to Ghana to do two shows. If the promoters are serious with it,” he added. Touching the number of albums he has released, he said 50 to 52 have been released. “I brought five new albums unreleased to The Gambia,” he said. The Jamaican Reggae star revealed that the roots of music are from Africa, noting that Gambia is one of the countries recommended in terms of music.
The town is in a fiesta type mood as fans of Sizzla brace themselves for the event. Sizzla is enthusiastically overwhelmed with emotion to be on the smiling coast resolving that his band is preparing to provide entertainment to their fans in a bigger better package.
