Following the ruling made recently by the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court in favour of Castle, plaintiff, against Slok Air International, defendant, Slok Air has paid the whole claim of $12, 600 and D30, 000 damages to Castle for out of court settlement.
According to the counsel for the plaintiff, Badou SM Conteh, the defendant, Slok Air, had paid the claim and damages by cheque to the plaintiff in settlement of the case instituted by the plaintiff against the defendant.
Castle Oil dragged Slok Air earlier to court claiming the sum of $12, 600 being the unpaid balance of money owed to the plaintiff by the defendant in respect to aviation fuel Jet A1 supplied by the plaintiff to the defendant.
Castle Oil also claimed the sum of D30, 000 being general damages for breach of contract. The trial Magistrate was Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbackeh of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court.
