The 2009 Caddy Golf Tournament, organised and sponsored by Susan and Richard, is scheduled for Sunday 18th October 2009, at the Fajara Golf Club.
The final game would be competed between Nuha Saidy, Edi Jammeh, Omar Jadama, Ebou Jarju, Ousman Bah, Bakary Njie who will likely be joined by the winner between Lamin Gibba and Fansu Drammeh, who are expected to clash in the play-off on today, at the Fajara Golf Club.
In an interview with Pointsport yesterday at the Fajara Golf Course, the Caddy Master and Course Manager, Bakary Njie said the preliminaries were aimed at promoting and developing golf in the country.
Miss Susan the sponsor of the golf championship, said that many Gambians have special appetite for golf, which prompted them to organise the tournament so as to nurture their skills and talents in golf.
The winner at the end of the tournament, according to Miss Susan, will receive D2,000 while the runners-up and the third place will also go home with D1500 and D500, respectively.
The Longest Driver, she added, will each receive D500, while the participants who came nearer to the pin would also receive D500.

“But whereas if we cannot come up with any agreement with them, then we will urge interested teams who wish to register for the championship to pay a fee of D1500.00. All interested teams in both championships can make their payment directly to our account number at Trust Bank on 110-15500-01 or to Alagie Ceesay, Treasurer of the association who could be reached on 7930500 and before mid November for the Beach Volleyball championship.”
