Three Strikers in Golden Boot Contention

As 1st Division football continues to gather momentum, three players have set the pace for the golden boot award with just three games played.

The prolific strikers are Pa Amadou Gai of Bakau United, Lamin Samateh of Samger and Pa Modou Ngum, alias Bass, of Seaview. The three players already have bagged two goals each in their respective names after playing three matches.

These strikers are currently in prime form as clearly demonstrated in the number of goals they dropped in the net for their respective clubs, and are currently joint leaders at the top of the table with seven points each.

Bakau United and their fellow contenders Seaview, face each other in mid-week at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium at . The game is expected to be showcasing a lot of dazzling skills from these two star strikers.

Pa Modou Ngum with his fake tricking turns in his offensive creativity, can crack any defensive wall he is faced with.

For Bakau United’s Striker, Pa Amadou Gai, he always opens up space with athletic skills to break any solid defence.

Lamin Samateh and his Academy Boys take on Brikama United on the 5th March 2009 at Brikama. Samateh claimed to score more goals past his last season record of five goals for his team.
