Her Excellency Ajaratou Isatou Njie Saidy and the 1st Spanish Vice Prime Minister, Mrs. Maria Dona Theresa Fernandez de la Vega were greeted by the women folk of Bakoteh with much enthusiasm that leaves nothing to the imagination of their hospitality.

During her short visit to the Gambia, the Spanish diplomat visited the BakotehWomenHorticulturalGarden where she presented three milling machines to the women farmers.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Yankuba Colley, the Mayor of KMC, expressed his delight over the support of the Spanish Prime minister saying that such a support cannot come at a better time.

Ajaratou Filly Jatta, the president of the Bakoteh Women’s HorticulturalGarden said that they were overwhelmed by the Spanish support and couldn’t express their profound gratitude. But she appealed for water supplies to water their garden.

“You can count on our support whenever you need it. It has always been our pleasure forming relations with the people of the Gambia,” Mrs. Maria said at the presentation ceremony.
