Two Arraigned For Cattle Rustling

Bakary Jallow and Begi Jallow were last Tuesday arraigned before the Brikama Magistrates’ Court, charged with conspiracy to commit felony and cattle theft.

According to the particulars of offence on count one, sometime in the month of August 2009, at Madina Village in Kombo South; they jointly conspired to commit a felony to wit stealing.

While count two stated that, at the same place the accused persons jointly stole two cows, valued D27, 000, being the property of one Alhagie Gaye-Jallow.

Both denied the charges preferred against them.

Meanwhile, the Police Prosecutor Sub-Inspector Jammeh opposed the bail for the accused persons.

The case was adjourned to 9th October 2009.
