The United States Embassy in Banjul on Tuesday donated bags, cups, T-shirts and other items to Unique FM, at a presentation ceremony held at the Unique FM Radio Station premises along the Garba Jahumpa Highway, Bakau New Town.

Presenting the items to the  proprietor of Unique FM Radio, Lamin Manga, Tashawna S Berthea, the political and economic officer at the US embassy, said the donation was in appreciation of the tireless efforts of Lamin Manga to take The Gambia forward. She expressed her delight with the outstanding performance of the radio station in entertaining the people.

In receiving the items, the proprietor of Unique FM, Lamin Manga, expressed his happiness and appreciation for the laudable gesture.  He also expressed his happiness to be associated with the Voice of America, adding that this is all geared towards increasing the awareness of the people.

He also revealed that Unique FM in Basse will soon be launched. Also present at the ceremony was Ebrima Jaw Manneh of the US embassy.
