Despite a High Court ruling for the unconditional release of Ousman Jatta, alias Rambo, family sources informed this paper that the Bakau Old Cape ward councilor has not been released up to the time of going to press.

Speaking to this paper on behalf of the Jatta Kunda family in Bakau, Dudu Kassa Jaata, Rambo Jatta’s elder brother, said that though the court gave orders since last week Tuesday for the unconditional release of Rambo, the order has not been effected yet.

He further stated that the family does not even know where Rambo is being detained. “He was sometimes ago detained at Gunjur, but has since been moved to an unknown location after our lawyer, Ousainou Darboe, disclosed at the courts that Rambo was detained at the Gunjur Police Station.

“The Jatta Kunda family are seriously concerned about Rambo’s whereabouts,” Dudu Kassa said.
