Azziz Tamba’s co-accused remanded

One Omar Sanneh and Bakary Jasseh, were on Wednesday, remanded by Principal Magistrate Moses Richards, on charges of being in possession of unlicensed fire arms and life ammunition.

The duo have been standing trial, after they were jointly charged, together with Azziz Tamba, Assistant Deputy National Youth Mobiliser of APRC, for being in possession of fire arms and life ammunition.

According to the particulars of the offense, Azziz Tamba, Bakary Jasseh, and Omar Sanneh were found in possession of a pistol with 8 life round of ammunition without a license, late this year, at Cape Point, Bakau. When the charge sheet was read to them earlier on, Mr. Tamba pleaded guilty (first accused), while the second and the third accused took a plea of not guilty.

Presiding Principal Magistrate Richards then adjourned the case to December 18, for continuation. The IGP was represented by Sergeant 453 Touray.
