Ansarudeen National Congress Slated for 2nd to 4th November

The Federation of Jamhiatu Ansarudeen-the Gambia Chapter will organize its second national congress from 2 to 4 November 2007, at the Independence Stadium, Bakau. The high-profile Islamic gathering, which is expected to draw participants from various countries in the sub-region, will be a unique event of its kind.

The renowned Islamic scholar and cleric from Medina Baye, Kaolack, and Imam Hassan Ceesay alongside other Islamic scholars, including Professor Barhama Mahmoud Jobe will grace the occasion.

According to Mr. Baboucarr Cham, a member of the organizing committee, the event will provide a platform for participants to discuss issues bordering on global peace and African integration, adding that the larger public is urged to attend the three-day event.
