The defending champions of the Bakau knock-out cup, Scan Tours FC, have kept alive their dream of retaining the title after a back-breaking win over Jazz FC in their last night semi-final match played at the Bakau mini-stadium.
Scan Tours prevailed winners in a post-match penalty shoot-out after a stalemate score in regulation period. Despite their crashing out of the knock-out competition however, it is still not end of the road for the Jazz side, who have earlier berthed a place in the Western Union sponsored league cup semi-final stage.
Scan Tours will now face in the knock-out final, either Saul Samba or Banda FC. The two Bakau New Town sides earlier had their semi-final fixture rescheduled to next Tuesday, after a heated 1-1 draw on Tuesday, October 30.
Meanwhile the league cup semi-final fixtures will resume on Saturday, November 3, with Saul Samba taking on Jazz, while Katchically United square-up against Ron Mango the following day.
