Gambia Gets Tourism Information Centre

Sunday, July 15, 2007

In its dogged determination to promote tourism in The Gambia, the Association of Small Scale Entrepreneurs in Tourism (ASSET) in partnership with Timbooktoo Book Shop recently established a tourism information centre called Cultural Encounters.

The centre, housed on the 1st floor of Timbooktoo Book Shop, is basically out to provide travellers and researchers a window of opportunity to have easy access to information about tourism as well as to promote ASSET members who produce handicraft works.

The Centre, which also has a trendy café, is managed by Mr. Badou Bobb, a seasoned tourism stakeholder.
