GAF Play French Navy Ship Crew Tomorrow

The Gambia Armed Forces are set to play an international friendly match with the visiting French Navy ship “L’aviso Lt. De Vaisseau Lavalle” on Thursday August 2, 2007.

According to press release from the Defense Headquarters of the Gambia Armed Forces in Banjul, the French Navy ship would arrive in Banjul today for an official visit from the 1-4 August 2007.

The press release, signed by Lt. A. Sanneh, revealed that as part of the activities, a Football match between the Navy ship Crew and officers of The Gambia Armed Forces would be held tomorrow Thursday August 2nd, 2007 at the Independence Stadium in Bakau starting at 1700pm.

“The public is invited to come out in large numbers to give support. The presence of the members of the National Football Fans Club would be highly appreciated.” The release concluded.
