Ports Authority beat Samger 1-0 in their last night league encounter played at the Independence Stadium, Bakau.

Defender Mandou Bojang headed home Alagie Fatajo’s neat cross to break the deadlock in the 14th minutes. The lone goal separated the two sides throughout the regulation.

The setback did not only end newcomers’ unbeaten run in the league but also cost them the top of the table.

Ports Authority were, however, made to sweat for the narrow victory which marked their first win since their elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup Championships at the hands of Abidjan’s ES Bengerville.
