The 2006 Banjul Nawettan reached its last stages after months of intensive competition.
According to the Secretary General of Banjul Sports Committee Ebou Faye, teams are urged to prepare to play within short notice as teams competing in both trophies will have to bear the brunt of resting less than others.
Mr. Faye added that they would try as much as possible to give reasonable resting period to teams but if an eventuality occurs, teams must adjust to it.
He pointed out that whatever the circumstances; the nawetan will end on 19th November 2006.
To achieve that, Mr. Faye revealed that the fixture would be adjusted when needed. ‘’The fixture stipulated below is not permanent but depends on how teams progress and sometimes the some mistakes, suggestion and inputs from others.
He added that the 7 substitutions introduced during the Ramadan will end on Tuesday, 24th October 06 and we will revert to the 5 substitutions as usual.
