Aziz Corr Nyang formerly of Swedish Champions Djurgaden has finally joined Swedish second division side TYRESO. The Gambian international, who came to prominence in 2003 following the Gambia’s thrashing of Lesotho in Banjul by 6-0, has spent the last eighteen months in the wilderness looking for a club in Europe. The Young Gambian who could also play for Sweden has had a trouble career over the years in the Swedish league where his troubles both on and off the field were able to overshadow his promising career.

Aziz was loaned to Atvidaberg, a first division team in 2004 by the then coach Zoran Lucic whilst at Djurgaden to toughen him a bit, but the Gambian international would not buy the spell at a lower division and opted to cut his ties with the club. Aziz spent some time in London last year before travelling to the Gambia to resurrect his troubled career.

Having returned to Stockholm last month, the Gambian international failed to convince many interested clubs that his antics were in the past and he can be trusted with his football. His former club Djurgaden are keeping taps on him and even published his most recent exploits with his new team on the clubs website, where he was able to score five goals in three outing.

Aziz joined IFK Lindingo in 2001 from where his talents were noticed before joining Djurgaden In 2002 where he won the Swedish championship. Aziz later starred for the scorpions in their epic goalless draw with World cup quarter finalist Senegal in Banjul, in the CAF qualifiers for the 2004 Nations cup.
